Job Description

The NCCER Certified Exam Proctor is responsible for providing proctoring services in support of faculty and student services in ABC Central Ohio’s facility or other offsite locations.

• Schedule tests and perform student information maintenance if necessary. This may include such things as: notification to students, tracking student attendance, performing faculty follow up and maintaining test documentation
• Coordinate testing set-up and maintain orderly appearance of testing facility
• Administer scheduled tests in an orderly manner, maintaining confidentiality of student identification numbers and exam passwords
• Communicate testing requirements to test students, ensuring academic integrity of exam administration
• Address academic integrity observations with students, reporting anomalies to campus staff as instructed
• Responsible for maintaining security of testing environment, ensuring minimal disruptions to testers

This is an hourly position, and some in-state travel will be required. You will be provided with the technology and tools needed to be successful in this position, however you must be able to work independently.

Non-overnight travel and in-person meetings throughout the Greater Columbus Metropolitan area, as well as other portions of the state will be necessary. NCCER Training for the Proctor Certification will also be provided.

Required Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent required, Associate degree or higher preferred.
• Prior testing experience preferred.
• NCCER Proctor Certification/Designation.
• Customer service skills working with examinees, faculty and staff.
• Ability to be discrete, sincere, and perceptive in working with examinees.
• Basic computer skills, knowledge of basic server/networking skills, computer troubleshooting, etc.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks at once.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to work on short notification as needed.
• Ability to be able to lift up to 20-30 pounds.
• Ability to work in a quiet environment, learn detailed procedures, and handle a reasonable amount of stress.
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends and possible Saturdays.
