On Aug. 30, the U.S. Department of Labor launched apprenticeship.gov, a digital platform designed to bring together workers in search of apprenticeship programs and the employers offering these opportunities across multiple industries.

According to a DOL news release, resources on apprenticeship.gov include the Apprenticeship Finder, a free tool for employers who want to promote their apprenticeship opportunities, which currently displays thousands of openings for job seekers. The website also offers links to additional information on apprenticeships in various industries, including construction.

The new website supports President Trump’s Executive Order, “Expanding Apprenticeships in America,” by improving access to apprenticeship opportunities in traditional and nontraditional industries where apprenticeships are less common. It also delivers on the recommendations of the Task Force on Apprenticeship Expansion, which identified the need to connect career seekers, employers and educators on a single online platform, according to the news release.

ABC member companies can learn about posting their apprenticeship opportunities here.
