Associated Builders and Contractors announced today that Milwaukee Tool is a platinum-level sponsor for its 2019-2021 ABC conventions and the official tool sponsor of the National Craft Championships. An industry-leading manufacturer of heavy-duty power tools, hand tools, accessories, jobsite lighting and storage solutions, Milwaukee Tool will provide tools and safety equipment for NCC competitors.

“We’re so excited to have Milwaukee Tool’s support for ABC’s annual celebration of careers in construction, honoring the men and women who build America,” said Greg Sizemore, ABC’s vice president of health, safety, environment and workforce development. “Milwaukee Tool’s alignment with ABC’s workforce development and safety initiatives will not only benefit NCC competitors, but the industry as a whole for years to come.”

At the NCC, construction craft professionals compete for top honors in 14 competitions representing 12 crafts, from electrical and plumbing to carpentry and welding. The competition includes a two-hour written exam and a daylong, hands-on practical performance test. Milwaukee Tool will also provide prizes for competitions winners.

“At Milwaukee Tool, we take pride in working directly with the professional construction trades to help make them more productive,” said Scott Teson, vice president of skilled trades for Milwaukee Tool. “A key part of fostering this productivity is ensuring professionals have the resources they need to be successful in their trade. We are proud to support ABC’s continued commitment to workforce development.”

In addition to NCC, ABC Convention 2019, which will be held in Long Beach, California, March 24-28, includes education sessions, speakers, networking events, award ceremonies and the Construction Management Competition. The annual NCC is part of ABC’s effort to raise the profile of careers in construction and highlight the $1.1 billion that ABC member companies spend annually on workforce development.
