Since the President announced his PLA Executive Order 14063 earlier this month, ABC has been working with members of Congress to highlight the dangers of the EO in committee hearings. Yesterday, in a House Ways and Means Select Revenue Measures Subcommittee Hearing on Examining the Economic Impact of Federal Infrastructure Investment, Rep. Lloyd Smucker (R-PA) raised concerns with the PLA executive order mandate and submitted an ABC letter responding to the President’s EO to the committee’s record.

Earlier this week, ABC also submitted comments to the U.S. House Committee on Small Business Subcommittee on Underserved, Agricultural, and Rural Business Development, and last week, ABC commented on the U.S. House Select Committee on Economic Disparity and Fairness in Growth hearing on “Connecting Americans to Prosperity: How Infrastructure can Bolster Inclusive Economic Growth.” During the hearing, Rep. Kat Cammack (R-Fla.-3) entered ABC’s letter into the record, adding that she is “very concerned about this harmful move.”
