ABC Won 3 of 4 Targeted Races
Ron Ferguson (R-Jefferson, Belmont & Monroe Counties) was one of four Republican “pick-ups.” ABC of Ohio first supported Ferguson for election in 2016. He is a strong supporter of free enterprise and the merit shop. His family has experience in construction.

Sarah Fowler Arthur (R-Ashtabula & Geauga Counties) was an ABC targeted race based upon her proven support for limited government regulation, school choice and career technical training. Arthur has stood firm when pressured by Democrats to violate her values on the SBE so we can trust her to stand up for our shared principles as well.

Tom Brinkman (R-Hamilton County) was the Ohio House conservative most at risk of losing to his liberal challenger. With the help of ABC, he held on to win his fourth term.

Beth Bigham (R-Summit County) was ABC’s most ambitious targeted race – attempting to defeat a liberal incumbent. Bigham received 48.5% of the vote.

Ohio Supreme Court Clings to Narrow Majority
With the reelection of Justice Kennedy and the defeat of Justice Judi French, the Republican majority on the court slips to 4-3.
Jennifer Brunner beat French and is expected to be a judicial activist. She was recruited and supported by former U.S. Attorney General William Holder. Their plan? Win state supreme court races across America in order to win 2022 redistricting law suits.
In 2022 Justice Pat DeWine is up for reelection. DeWine is considered by court watchers as the most conservative justice. An open seat for Chief Justice will also be up for grabs.
Ohio House Republicans Gain 4 Seats
When former Speaker Larry Householder was arrested then removed from the Speakership, most statehouse observers assumed House Republicans would lose five or more seats.
Speaker Bob Cupp and other House leaders quickly raised $3.5 million dollars and, with the help of the ORP, expanded the majority by winning four seats previously held by Democrats. The new House Republican majority will be 65 – 34.
Ohio Senate Republicans Gain 1 Seat
Republican conservative Sandra O’Brien (R-Lake, Geauga & Ashtabula Counties) narrowly won a seat in Northeast Ohio making the Republican senate majority a historic 25-8 super majority. O’Brien is a former statewide candidate for Ohio Treasurer and enthusiastic Trump supporter.
Sen. Stephanie Kunze (R-Franklin County) is narrowly winning her reelection by 41 votes. The outcome of this race will not be confirmed until the certification in three weeks.
Democrats appear to have won 196 seats and are leading in 23 other races, which are too close to call. U.S. House Republicans have secured 185 seats and are leading in 32 others.
At present, the Democrats are clinging to a projected razor thin majority of 219 -216.
