On March 30, ABC sent ABC sent a letter to the U.S. House Committee on Small Business Subcommittee on Innovation, Entrepreneurship, and Workforce Development to comment on the workforce development challenges facing small construction businesses for their hearing titled “Skill, Upskill, and Reskill: Analyzing New Investments in Workforce Development.”
At the hearing, Rep. Roger Williams (R-Texas-25), the vice ranking member of the committee, discussed how President Biden’s executive order mandating PLAs is discriminatory against more than 87% of the construction workforce that chooses not to join a union as they seek to compete for federal contracts and how it is costly to taxpayers.
